Anaba Wines became the first winery in Northern California to utilize wind power when it installed a 45-foot wind turbine to harness the anabatic winds that swirl through its sustainably-farmed Carneros Estate vineyards. This wind turbine generates electricity for Anaba’s tasting room, wine storage, office operations and irrigation pumps for the two estate vineyards.
Executive Chef Dave Bush takes us on a tour of the newly renovated dining room and talks about the amazing wine and food pairing experiences. St. Francis’ wine and food pairings are private group events where guests enjoy a variety of the wines paired with delicious foods prepared by Chef Dave and his team of culinary crafters. Pairings are offered five days a week, Thursday through Monday. Visit: http://www.somethingaboutsonoma.com/storefront/st-francis for more information!
The Anaba Wines Tasting Room is at the crossroads of Hwy 116 (which runs east-west from Hwy 101 to Sonoma) and Hwy 121 which is also known as the Carneros Highway and parallels 116 running along the southern borders of Napa and Sonoma Counties. The tasting room is located just outside the town of Sonoma and it sits in a converted farmhouse that stood on Anaba’s J McK Estate Vineyard property.
