The Anaba Wines Tasting Room is at the crossroads of Hwy 116 (which runs east-west from Hwy 101 to Sonoma) and Hwy 121 which is also known as the Carneros Highway and parallels 116 running along the southern borders of Napa and Sonoma Counties. The tasting room is located just outside the town of Sonoma and it sits in a converted farmhouse that stood on Anaba’s J McK Estate Vineyard property. Thumbs Up Wine Review: Well, if you’re ever visiting the Sonoma County Wine Country, the grounds at Chateau St Jean are a must see. And if you’re a fan of Pinot Noir, then the 2012 Pinot Noir from Chateau St Jean is a must try. It’s a $12 wine that’s worth every bit of $25. That’s double-your-money territory right there!

In 1999, Chateau St. Jean was the first Sonoma winery to be awarded the prestigious “Wine of the Year” award from the Wine Spectator Magazine for its 1996 Cinq Cépages Cabernet Sauvignon, that harmonizes all five Bordeaux varietals. The winery received high acclaim again when it received the “#2 Wine of the Year” for its 1999 Cinq Cépages Cabernet Sauvignon.
